Watches get stolen ALL THE TIME at gyms. Either you wear your watch during workouts or you just don't wear it to the gym.

Why would you take it off? Wear the thing, it was built for much worse.

I remove my Rolex, because I wear my Polar heart monitor watch while I workout to track my heart rate. I want a good pump and I like to know if I'm giving it my all, or short changing my workout.

My Rolex is insured, if its gets stolen. big deal - sure I'll be upset, but I'm more concerned with banging it up and scuffing up the crystal, or links. I've only had it 7 or 8 months. I value my possessions. It took years to save up for my watch.

Besides - why would you wear a Rolex to a gym? That's a little ostentatious. I love my EXPII besides its the stealth Rolex. I know its quality, it looks nice, I can give it to my son or daughter - I have neither yet, God willing I'll have both one day.

Maybe you guys are just giving me a hard time cause I'm a newby?

I would never leave it in a locker--not a chance--I have seen so many people get robbed over the years. I don't leave my wallet in locker either. Leave the watch at home and put it on when you get back.

I wear my watch to the gym, and keep it on when lifting weights, etc. I am just careful not to bang it on weights, etc.

My husband takes boxing lessons and doesn't wear his Rolex to the boxing gym...he just leaves it in our safe at home.

I think one either wears it, and keeps it on, or locks it up in a safe place. I would never put my watch in a gym bag, locker, etc.

I get dressed for work after I workout - at the gym. I have to bring the watch with me.

I use a masterlock combo lock. If it gets stolen. Insurance will get me a new one. My original question was, whats the safest way to prevent it from getting banged up.

I wear one of my Rolex watches 24/7 including at the gym, at the shooting range, and in the jacuzzi. The roughest treatment probably comes from mowing my Arizona bumpy lawn on my lawn tractor. I know it's wound after an hour of that. It has never bothered my lifting weights. Rolex watches are a lot tougher than my old body!
