Strange Issue with my Rolexes on the watchwinder....
Dear friends;
When I put my GMT MASTER IIc on my watchwinder the watch stops after 46 hours.. But the watchwinder still works... But when I put my datejust on my same watchwinder the datejust continues to work for weeks... What is the problem with my GMT IIc while it is on the winder? Is it too heavy for the winder? I really need your thoughts..they are really important..thanks very much... |

It is not too heavy. What kind of winder do you have?

It doesn't have a name..I bought from Bangkok for 80 dolars or something..It is strange it has more than 900 turns a day and it winds the datejust perfectly but fails to wind the gmtIIc..isn't it strange? It has 60 turns on 1 hour..

It should work fine. Make sure watch is securley on pad and touching bottom. I use an Orbita now and have very heavy platinum watches on it --works fine--GMT not that heavy of a watch. It is a bit strange assuming nothing is wrong with winding mechanism on the watch itself.

Try adjusting the angle that the watch sits on the winder (rotate it on the pad). My OMEGA doesn't like the standard display angle.

I have a Daytona that does the same thing. Will not work on any of our four winders but every other Rolex works fine.
So I just have to set the time whenever I want to wear it.

Hum, I have never had a problem and I always have at least 3 on the wider... I have had all 3 GMT Ceramics (YG, SS and a TT) and they all were on there and never a problem...

I had that problem with my GMT IIc too. I got very upset until I discovered I had turned the winder off!
