Sold my first Rolex to an AD yesterday! LOL
Well, yesterday went into a Rolex Ad to look at the SD and TT Sub. Here is the funny thing, the attrative sales clerk knows I am a Rolex nut and very knowledgable. So she starts asking me questions. She want to buy a Rolex for herself, her manager will give he a good discount and let her pay on installments. So I start going through all the models with her and discussing thier merits. She says that she really wants a Sport Model. So I have her try on Sub that she likes (but I say too big for her very small petite and attractive Chinese wrist), then I have her try on a Explorer I. I go through the history, the durabilty, and workings of the inner movemenr andhow this is the watch for her! She agrees! Later that evening she calls me to say she purchased the Exp I and thanks me for explaining so much about Rolex watches to her, and I have helped her be a better saleslady!
I joke with her, "Hey, you are suppose to sell a watch to me, instead I sold a Rolex to you!! Where is my commission?" You know you are a Rolex WIS when the AD is asking you questions about Rolex and asking your advice for a purchase!! |

Actually, while I was there she asked me bout the Sub No date and said not a real popular watch cause not COSC certified. Well I commented maybe so, but has same movement as Exp I that is. I also commented that it is more like the "original Sub" and like the Sub that was originally used in the first james Bond movies!!! A young Chinese girl, about 13 and who spoke English, in there with her dad who was looking at watches, got excited when she heard me mention James Bond. She is a relaly big JB fan. She then told her dad about the Sub ND being the first james bond watch, and he became very interested and stopped looking at DJ and had to try on and see the Sub ND!
Yeah, maybe I should just stay in KL and sell Rolex watches! I can then get JJ to travel here and give him a job as my assistant! LOL LOL |

Great story, Chad. Now tell us the truth!! How much cleavage ogling were you doing while examining her petite dainty wrists?
She was wearing a full ladies bussiness suit buttoned up to the neck! Good thing, or I would be wearing a TT Black/Gold Sub today!!!!! LOL (P.S. Why do you think I am wearing a PAM on my wrist today! LOL) |

Great story Chad! Also shows how sales people use 'COSC' as a marketing ploy just as the Manufacturers also do! When in fact it's probably not a big deal (well not too me anyway).

It's a third-party guarantee that the watch is accurate... it's VERY important to me.
