I went "Rolexing" today....
I dropped into an AD today just to browse. I was wearing a suit so they were very nice to me. I tried on a couple of watches they have on display and came to some observations:
1) They had a gold DJ on a leather bracelet and I have to say that is one very classy combination. I nearly broke down and bought it. 2) The platinum/SS yachtmaster is a real eyecatcher. Given the fact that the jeweler's display lamps make everything artifically brighter, it still was one of the most striking watches compared to even the gold ones. I think it has something to do with how all the polished planes of the watch reflect light. 3) The green crystal Milgauss is cool!!! It almost looks "radioactive" when you wear it becuase of the irridescence of the crystal. 4) I tried on the DayDate II and really tried to like it but I was having problems. It is big, but not "DeepSea" big, it has a nice shine that really catches the eye. My problem was the proportion. The winding crown is just way too small. If they had the crown of the Milgauss, it would be perfect.

ANY AD that was only nice to me because I would be wearing a suit doesn't deserve one thin dime of my money.
My AD is ALWAYS nice to me. Suit, or Harley gear. And more often than not, it's HD gear, INCLUDING the HD. |

80% of popular ADs here in Hong Kong are looks like a supermarket, so..... many many people there everytime I visit. I was wearing a Tshirt, short pants and a slipper when I bought my ExpII last month.

Gold with leather is a great combination. That would likely be my choice if I were to get a second.
