Hi everyone

Just come back from retail therapy at Bluewater shopping centre.

Ernest Jones have put up all the prices for Rolex

They had the following models in the window

Dssd
Explorer 11 White & black
Green milgauss
Wg daytona
A couple of yactmasters
And that's about it for sports models

I had noticed today, that the AD's where I live, had increased the price of the Explorer II from £3770 to £4020.

These watches presumably were bought in at the old price,so the AD's are just trying it on. Very annoying !

I remember when I got the explorer 11 from ej Bluewater late 2008 the price was 2790 less 10% shareholder and I paid the net amount with a insurance card that cost me £1700.

So did well really!!!!!

I like the misspelling - "list'' became "lust'' which for most TRF members, is probably a very accurate description!!

Perhaps there is an alternative view to this. Rather than ADs "trying it on", they are obliged to show Rolex's retail prices as part of their trading terms. If you take time to build up a relationship with an AD, you will find that the window price is not always what you pay IMHO.
