I do not think I can think about getting another non Glidelock (or equivalent) Rolex. The comfort and engineering is superb. Looks like only modern Rolexes from now on.

Couldn't agree more. Only problem is, it's too easy now for my other half to adjust one of mine to fit her wrist!

Funny I got a PAM a little while back and wear it on the weekends. Part of the attraction to PAM is the straps right? I can't seem to get straps as comfortable as I can get my DS with glidelock! I'm a glidelock believer!

Same here. I'm all for the new Rolexes with the glidelock. I can't believe they didn't come out with it a long time ago.

I have to agree... even my non-GLock Rolex is more comfortable than the straps I had on my 312.

In the begining I thought the flippick clasp was pretty good, then came the Easylink and now the glidelock system. The glidelock system should be on every Rolex watch IMO!

So true. Why Rolex haven't put it on the plat YM I just don't know. The clasp is the only reason I have never considered that model. It even retails more than a daytona now!! Can you imagine if the daytona had the cheap tinny clasp on it...

I guess I will see one day when I get my TT SubC Serti. Right now I like the easylink but my SS DJ is the most comfortable watch I own with the SuperJubilee.

That's my only complaint about my OQ Ref 17000 K-series: Wish it had Glidelock! IMHO, that would then make it a Perfect 10. Oh, well, I am still waiting for the GenII OQ's (10 year 3.3 V LiION battery life, 100 year perpetual calendar, etc.), but then again, I'm definitely not holding my breath, either. In the meantime, can't beat the half-second a month accuracy (thanks to its unique automatic thermal compensation circuit), so I'm not complaining too loudly!

The glidelock clasp is superb. Now if only they didn't add the supercase or ceramic bezel to the 116610.

A maxi dial, updated bracelet, and glidelock clasp would have perfected it.

Man, you guys are killing me! Both of my beloved Rolex have the "old school" bracelets. The 93150 on my GMT Master and the 93250 on my Sub LV. I have grown to love these old faithfuls, but longing for the day that I get a modern Rolex bracelet with glidelock capabilities.

I think among the S/S watches it was the SDDS which was the first to have the Glidelock, followed by the Subs.

I'm not sure if the full yellow gold ceramic Sub was issued before the Deepsea though.

Having worn my Sub-C for a while, I "slide" anywhere from 1 notch (groove?) showing on the glidelock to 4 notches. I am at 4 notches when I first put on the watch after a shower when my wrist is bigger and there is more friction from moisture, and at 1 notch couple hours later when I am in the office sitting for a while with the AC on.

Was looking to get a Daytona with my purchase but I don't think its worth getting if it's not as comfortable and adjustable as the Sub.... Maybe a Daytona with a custom fit animal band would do. But as of now, turned off to any metal bands without glidelock. :(

DITTO!! Absolutely, same here as if it came out of my mouth.

At first I didn't care for the look of the new clasp (no "camouflage with oyster link pattern"), but man, it sounds like it's pretty unanimous! I guess Rolex re-thought the clasp and figured "look, gentleman, this clasp is not fooling anyone...let's just make it plane flat stainless with a center stripe and coronet in the middle...and on the inside, we'll make the technologically most advanced and comfortable watch clasp on Earth...!

I, too, am also very impressed by the glidelock clasp. I tried on the new cSub and it was simply a better built clasp then the normal one on my LV. If I had the option, I would gladly upgrade.
