Removing Buckle Scratches

Is there a way to remove some scratches to the buckle where the screw is that were done by the screwdriver? Lets just say that I'll never be a surgeon.

I try to be careful, but scratches are inevitable unless you have surgeons hands and/or put tape on everything before you start changing.

I'm particularly fond of blue.

Cape Cod cloth can be purchased online (google it) or at certain hardware stores. Ace hardware carries them in TX.
