There is something fishy about the destructive progression of the Rolex!

Good work, Jocke.
I do believe a real Oyster case is capable of taking a 60-ton pressure. In fact, I've read somewhere that it does take 60 tons of pressure to punch out the steel casing from the original slab of 904L steel. Can anyone corroborate this fact? Thanks - JJ

my question is: was everything in normal working order when you froze the watch and then when you boiled it?

Jocke, this isn't the Ultimate Submariner Test. This test would only hold validity if it were a Genuine Rolex Submariner. You could have used a Quartz Casio G Shock or something and did the same thing..........I like your presentation and pictorial which is excellent. You did an excellent experiment. You shouldve used an Invicta Sub Clone. That would have been funny.

Jocke And now please go to the AD to get it fixed again! I'd like to see the expression on the AD watchmaker's face AND to see the BILL!

I think he gave the fake the punishment it deserved, Pres. And eh didn't say that he bought it. Even if he did, this was a worthy punishment for a Folex. It's just as enjoyable as the fake that someone put on the railroad tracks (posted here before).
I just about had a heartattack when I first saw the pics and wanted to lock my Sub in a safe until I noticed the folex.

Funny stuff, that was! And not THAT bad a fake btw. But there are many things that tell it's a knock-off, e.g. the wrong numbers on the underside of the end pieces and no serial numbers at six. But the dial and case are surprisingly well copied.
