Question re: Rolex Warranty Card Differences
I currently own three Rolex watches that have the new Credit Card style warranty papers. Two of them look the same and the third one is different and I want to see what you guys think.
The card on the bottom has the green Rolex jubilee pattern (as a security feature I presume) covering the area where the Name of Purchaser, City/State and Date of Purchase is then filled out by hand. This is the way most of my Warranty Cards look. The card on the top does not have the green Rolex jubilee pattern covering the area where the purchaser information is filled out. It is just a matte finished white box. Is this background something that is applied to the card by the AD? Have any of you guys seen this before? What is the best explanation for the difference? (BTW: the watch that has the white background has been authenticated and verified by the AD. I am in no way concerned that the papers are not genuine.) ![]()

I'm sure that the jubilee pattern was added later to keep anybody from erasing the name there and replacing it with another.. It wasn't that tough on the plain cards, but impossible with the jubilee background without destroying the background too..

Larry is correct, the bottom card is the newer style with the Jubilee pattern. Besides containing the Rolex Jubilee pattern printed in the are that the AD fills out at the time of purchase, it has a new security feature that repeats "VOID" markings if altered by solvents or erasing of the original owner's information. Much like security features added to negotiable instruments when photocopied or erased.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before guys used to clear the warranty and change the name and date ![]() ![]() Now you can not do that or you'll get the word VOID all over the warranty ![]() ![]()

Cool. Thanks guys. I always wondered about the differences and that makes perfect sense.
