Blue SS Submariner??

GK Scott in Los Angeles seems to be a reputable service center. They have a nice selection of previously-loved Rolex's as well, but I'm a bit surprised to find this Blue SS Sub because wouldn't it mean after-market parts???

It certainly looks good though...

What do you guys think?

I have heard there was an SS blue sub sold in Asia at one time with limited numbers. I haven't personally seen one of those though.

On that listing they say the dial has been painted blue and the bezel insert switched, so I guess that's just a regular SS sub with modifications.

It says in the description the dial has been painted and the bezel insert switched, so it's not the real blue Sub, just a modified one

"Its dial has been custom painted and its bezel insert has been switched from black to blue, giving it, and you, quite the unique look. This Sub was treated to a factory polish and a full servicing of the movement."

I have found a source who has a rolex parts account but even though he could supply me with a black Sub-C dial (previous project idea I dropped) he said he couldn't supply a ceramic LV bezel or WG dial and bezel ! Just to hard to obtain was his words !

As I had thought a WG look SS Sub-C or a old style look Sub-C LV

The search continues :-)
