what do you think of this Daytona FS on Craigs List

Saw this in my local CL postings. I check it form time time. I can't tell much from the pictures. Any thoughts on authenticity? Thanks Matt

Guarantee SCAM.
You will get a reply and he will say the watch is real and with papers and is located 1000 miles away. He will gladly accept Western Union and hold it for you and offers you free next day air if you do a Western Union today. And to hurry because he has many people waiting to buy it.
They are finding new ways to lure innocent buyers by deliberately running ads throughout the country with a LOW BALL Price

Your town is not alone bombarded with such offers.

That particular scam, with this watch, is run on almost every craigslist. You will receive an email back, telling you the seller is in Alabama or some such place, and that they like to use eBay checkout, which is, of course, non existent. If you play along, supplying them with phony info (Phony name, address and telephone numbers), you will get back some emails and then, magically, an "Invoice" from eBay, telling you to pay via Western Union. If you ask for a telephone number you will get one, most likely an "internet/skype type", and if you call, it will go to voice mail....were you to leave a telephone number, you will get a call back, from the scammer (if you play the game, make sure all your correspondence is from a throw away email account, and NEVER give your real number (work, home, cel.....none!!). You will see that they respond back to you, if you reply to the ad, via a gmail email account, as gmail spoofs the originating IP address so you cannot see where they actually are located.

These are most likely Eastern European/Russian Mafia scams, however, sometimes they are Nigerian scams as well.

Beware, as we see lots of these scams played out all the time, on Craigslist.....

Hope this answers your question......
