What Next?

I currently have a 000, 249, and 351. I love them! Here's the deal -- it's my dad's birthday this week and he's always admiring my PAMs, so I think I'm going to give him the 000 for his birthday. I think that he's going to be thrilled and I can already see him telling all of his friends about the great history of Panerai.

The truth is that I hesitated a bit in deciding to give this present. As I said, I love these watches! I'd be really bummed out if dad just locks it away and doesn't wear it. Only time will tell. I comfort myself by thinking of the next purchase! Is there a selfish motivation to this gifting? I admit it! It does give me an excuse to buy another (I'm always thinking of the next watch, but this moves forward the potential date of purchase).

OK. That was a long intro. Here's the question: what next? The contenders:

1. Replace the 000 with a new one
2. 190
3. 243
4. wait and hope for one of the new base boutique models
5. 292

I'm currently smitten with the idea of a sub, so the 243 is in the lead in my heart right now. What would you do if you were me? Any others you would add to the list? Thanks ahead of time for all comments.

I would do the 335 (#6), but 292 is not bad!

Waiting for SIHH 2011 is a good point, but I HATE how Panerai takes their sweet time in releasing new models. If you see something you like now I say just go for it.
