Versace w 7751 - thoughts?
Hey guys, I have my eye on this Versace tonneau watch with Valjoux 7751.
http://www.modnique.com/bzJApp/Sales...aleEventId=974 I like the shape of the case and the 7751 pointer date/moonphase movement is on my list of must own timepieces. I like the hands, dial and everything else about the watch really. Not a big fan of cutting off the numbers so the partial "8" bugs me a little. Mostly I just don't know Versace. Obviously they are not watchmakers. I don't need a status symbol but I guess I would feel better if this were being offered by one of the more common watch makers. Any thoughts on this or watches like it? Go for it? Run away? Pretty "cheap" at $1130, but will I enjoy it?

Bit too modern for my taste, the colours are ok but i don't like the shape of the case. It would look better being round.

I'm more concerned over build quality and things like that. Any input?

The 7751 is a great movement. It is very reliable. You shouldn't worry about the movement. On the case and cosmetics, I'm not too sure about.

Very strange case, IMHO.
Valjoux 7751 is great movement, as mentioned before, and build quality is very good, BUT...although Versace put a lot of effort to make quality timepieces (and such they are), it`s still fashion brand, and for me there are much better options for full calendar watches than Versace. For Example, this Longines, also 7751 inside, also unusual case, but REAL watch brand, with long tradition:

Besides the movement, I don't feel there is anything good about the watch.
