Quick Change Strap Tool

Sharing some info.

2 types of quick change strap tool available from Panerai Service Center, top one with the thicker ends is made of plastic, bottom one with the thinner end is made of metal.

With the top one, I change my 312's strap (especially if I don't have to change buckle) in 30 seconds !!!!!!!

The new way of changing straps from panerai is awesome and with zero possibilities to scratch the case

Be careful with the plastic version. Can be easy to snap off the tips. Some ppl use a quality toothpick instead.

I broke the tip...had to get another to keep the set complete and have been using toothpicks/paperclips to do the trick..actually better in my opinion...

Lee..where do we get the metal one?

I've had good luck with a couple toothpicks.

Interesting they have one in metal. What's the potential to scratch?

Toothpicks work better than the plastic tool IMO. The quick change system rocks!

I bought it from Richemont Service Center. It's difficult to get them, usually they have to indent the part from head office.

Here is a nice strap change video.

when i went to order the tool, the supervisior over the counter asked me which do i want? the plastic or metal tool? in my mind i was thinking, oh great you have a metal one as well . so i went on to ask the price and she said it is the same for both the plastic and metal strap tool. i gathered metal must be worth more than plastic so i went ahead to order both. took me about 1 month to get it.
