Just got back from Las Vegas! Finally saw the new GMTII....

Hi folks. This was my first trip to Vegas, as I have a fear of flying that I'm constantly trying to conquer. That being said, I've never seen so many people with Rolex watches in one place before. At almost every blackjack table I sat down and played, someone else had on a Rolex watch besides me. Sometimes it made for good conversation. I mean, Rolex watches were everywhere. At restaurants, at the airport, everywhere I looked atleast one out of every 10 guys had a Rolex watch on. And they had an AD in almost every hotel/casino that I went into. And I finally got to see the new GMT-Master II in TT and in solid Gold, at the MGM Grand. Both were very nice.. If I hadn't lost so much money on the blackjack tables Friday night I may have actually purchased the TT version. Oh well, maybe next time! All in all, it was a good trip though. I had great fun!

I am in Houston right now and went into an AD this afternoon to look around. They had both the old and new TT GMT's and could produce a Gold one from their other store if I wanted it. I still like my SS GMT but just for kicks I ask about the new SS GMT and the lady said that she had no pricing information and did not even expect to see one in the states until next year.

The new SS GMT won't be available until around June-July. This is a word coming from Rolex rep at my store.

I had thought about that too. In that environment it is hard to really say. But I did notice one SS Daytona that I believe was a fake, as the small second hand was not moving. Then at another table where a guy was betting between $100 and $500 a bet, I noticed another that was either TT or WG and the second had was moving nice and smooth.. But you name it and I saw it on someones wrist, from YG Presidential DD, SS Subs, YG Subs, TT Subs, GMTs, Explorers, Yachtmasters, TT Datejusts, Daytonas, etc., etc., etc.... By far the one I saw most was the SS Submariner though(there may have been a Sea-Dweller or 2 somewhere in there as well)...

You see,the Dweller dwells only on the wrists of the exclusives ..... The Submariner is more common ....
