1680/1575 date set question?
Hi, I'm a proud new owner of a red sub 1680 with 1575 movement. Serial number 292XXXX seems to place it about 1970? When I went to set it, I noticed there was no spot on the stem when extended to quickly set the date only. A local watchmaker who services Rolex I showed it to said that was correct- I had to wind the hands around to set the date. Was he right, or should there be a quick date set feature on this sub?
Many thanks! Dave |
