New Arrival..Just in and ready for your collection!
an absolutely unmolested 5508 with untouched-original case..
I believe I was the first to ever crack it open..no watchmaker marks of any sort,in fact the caseback didnt have a tool mark to be found!
Its extremely rare to find these watches in this untouched condition,especially still in this nice of shape..
the movement is still very clean and its running strong,but certainly you will want to have it serviced eventually..
the only thing I have done to it is change the crystal..of course I will send the original battle scared crystal along as well..
I also have a rivit band (from 1968)that I will add as well (or if you prefer a modern 93150)or if you really want things to match close, I do have a
1958 marked rivit in stock,but it would of course be extra as these bands are getting tough to source..
I did also have to change the caseback gasket as it was dry and rigid as you would expect a 50 plus year old piece of rubber would be..lol
the 5508 has a 490,xxx serial number (easily read and crisp)
and the caseback has a III.59' stamp
as you can see in the pictures,the dial is absolutely flawless!
honestly,it is undoubtedly one of the nicest 5508 dials I have ever seen in person and it is sure to impress even the most anal of watch fanatic!
The rivit band that comes with it is in very nice condition also..very little stretch and full amount of links also.
