I've seen a few genuine papers pop up here and there on the Bay, collectors do snap them up, and as the guys have discussed here they could also be used by scammers :-(

Could be left overs from an AD.
Smash and grabs are pretty common with jewelry stores. Perhaps they are the box/papers from the stolen watches. There was also a post here about an AD that kept the papers on file so the customer would come to them for the service/warranty work. Eventually these papers may just get cleaned out of the files, or the AD may close and sell off everything left. Some people may just buy the watch and not take the box and etc. Everybody is not as obsessive as us. For example a tourist that does not want the box and papers, but just wear the watch home to save customs/duties. Robert |
