hello from london
hi there,
I've recently discovered this forum after trying to do some research on vintage rolex and vintage tudor watches. I'm hoping to buy one for myself for my 30th which is coming up, but i keep discovering more and more and now i want about 10 different watches! Not good! I've been reading throughs ome posts and just finished reading about a scam that happened on here involving an amazing ER guy called Joey something. That thread is amazing - how everyone jumped in to help and so glad it came good in the end. It shocked me how much everyone came together on this forum, so hats off to you. There seems to be so much to take on, in finding that perfect first decent watch, so hopefully i don't ask too many stupid questions during my quests. I guess i really should work out what i want to get. Anyway - Merry Christmas everyone.. p.s i love the his and hers picture thread! S. |

Dan, i went to burlington arcade today (which is a really high end watch dealer area in london) and the guys in one shop called david duggan, were so friendly and lovely (and let me try on a paul newman daytona priced £60k which i obviously had NO intention in ever buying unless i remortgage my apartment!). I also went into the vintage rolex shop, where i asked about some tudors, and they were so rude! They started talking crap about that beloved Tudor rose... i was so mad. Oh well. I should've realised it was a bad idea by their sign on the door that said "During Christmas period we are unable to offer advice or information". Ugh. I did get to check out a few nice Tudors today though!
