New user questions!
Seasons greetings all, from Toronto, Canada!
I am a new user on the forum but a new watch collector and hope to one day be an afficionado My current collection is rather basic, but it has always been my dream to one day own a Rolex (or maybe even several!) I already have a savings fund started for my first one, and will be looking to probably buy a new in box submariner as a first purchase. The green face ones look rather nice in the pictures! My questions are these: I tried making a post in the WANT TO BUY forum but it says I have no access to post there. Why? And, the reason I wanted to post there, is because I want to ask if there any reputable sellers that are from CANADA? Most of the sellers on the For Sale forum talk about shipping within CONUS but all of them want extravagant fees for shipping to Canada, some are downright ridiculous like charging an extra $75 or even $100 just to ship to Canada which frankly I find to be a slap in the face, considering our dollar is at 99.94 USD. So, if anyone can tell me the answer to these 2 questions it would be greatly appreciated! And I look forward to spending more time on the forums and learning more about Rolex watches :) Cheers! |

Well let me first say, welcome to TRF!
Now for your first question: You need to be a member for at least 16 days and have a minimum of 16 posts before you can access the WTB or FS section....This is posted in the rules which are all posted at the top of the relavent sub sections on the boards. As for the second question: Insurance and postage outside of the US or any country is more expensive....A watch with high value is alot to insure either through the carrier or third party insurer. It has nothing to do with the dollar value! If you don't agree with the sellers shipping price, don't buy.....There are some Canadian sellers, you'll need to do a little searching... Enjoy the boards and it's many fine members. Join in and get a feel for the place first, Rob.
