What would you do?
I have made a New year resolution and I am sticking to it. I have been working out on and off in the past. Tried to keep a healthy diet too. So far I am somewhat healthy and within my weight limit, but could be better. I decided to get back to the workout routine just to maintain overall health.
I wear a Rolex everyday, either GMT IIc, Sub c Green or Seadweller. I dont mind a few scratches here and there while working out, but more important, i dont want to draw attentions, good or bad. What would you do? wear the watch? leave in a locker? in a pocket with zipper? or leave in a car? I am opt for the "put in a pocket with zipper". at least it will be with me. Any other place is an open invitation for thieves. What would you do? |

Well they allways say the safest place for a watch is on your wrist, or still on you in some sort of bag in your pocket.

I've worn all my Rolexes in the gym, even a Daytona & YM and even when lifting weights.
But if it bothers you, then the pocket with a zipper option sounds the best. |

Never in the car or locker. I guess putting it in a solt pouch and in a zipper pocket is the best alternative of the three. The best is to either wear it or leave it home.

If you don't have the option of leaving it at home, then I would suggest just wearing it (eventhough I couldn't imagine wearing a Rolex or any watch while working out). The odds are someone will see you put in your locker, or see you take it off and leave it in the car and we all know how that will end up. On the bright side, Rolex's are very durable and made to take a beating, barring any catastrophic accidents involving flying dumbells, you and your watch will be fine in the gym.

In my opinion one shouldn't wear ANY watch if/when working out with free-weights.
If I was just doing cardio' I'd leave it in my bag in my locker but if I had any doubts I'd just wear it.
