The Memorial Stone.

A man passed away & left a will that designated $30,000. to cover the expense of an elaborate funeral he wished to be held in his honor.
As the last guests were leaving the service, a close family friend asked the man's widow how much of the money she had used for the funeral.
"All of it," the widow said. "I spent the whole $30,000.."
"Oh," exclaimed the friend. "I mean, it was very nice, but $30,0000?"
"The funeral was $6500., I donated $500 to the church, the food & refreshments were another $500., & the rest went toward the memorial stone." the widow replied.
The friend quickly computed the total & was stunned.
"You spent $22,500. on a memorial stone? How big is it? the friend asked.
"Two & a half carats," the widow replied.

I'm glad I get to be interred at the VA cemetery. I would be very upset if my family wasted my hard earned money on an expensive stone, vault, casket, etc. Party at the club, yes great! Ridiculously stupid "box" and obscene "monument" NO!!! You dishonor my memory with all that garbage. I made my wishes very clear in the will. If I told you how much my family has traditionally spent on these retarded caskets, vaults, Mausoleums, etc you would not believe me. Whatever you're thinking as obscene, multiply by 5. That tradition dies with me.
