Since so many people have the 16610 (and soon the 116610) Subs that I'm really not interested in either of those, but have realized that any decent Rolex collection needs a diver.

So, I'm looking at either a vintage Sub (probably 5513, maybe 1680) or a newer Sea-Dweller (16600) for my collection.

Which would be the "more different" choice from a standard 16610 that everyone else has?

You could get a 5513 or a 1680 with really nice patina, if you have some more cash you can get a 1665.

In the 10k range I would go for a red 1680 or less for a white 1680. Or if you prefer the no date look then a 5512/5513.

I don't quite understand your position. Why get a diver if you are not really interested in it? Buy what you like, not what rounds out a collection.

I sell it for a DRSD

SD is more unique anyday.

I am interested in a diver. I just don't want a 16610 like so many of my friends/ co-workers/ etc. This will be my first "black" watch, so it will compliment my collection well.

Can't go wrong with a no-date. You won't see all that many around and a 14060 wears a tiny bit more like an EXP II than the 16610's do.
