This is going to sound a bit corse... if you are worried about DESK scratches on your Rolex (which by the way can be easily buffed out...) you may have OCD. Honestly, I have a hard enough time not smacking my Submariner into the door seal. The best way to protect your Rolex is to buy another watch :)

Wear the watch...
Don't let the watch wear you.

Every single gadget, toy, and car that I have gets abused regularly. When you go into every investment for pleasure knowing it's going to be a lose in most cases financially you feel free to do whatever you want.

OK, I admit it, I made it all up. Actually I chain my new Rolexes to the back bumper of the car and drag them to the office and back just to 'break them in'. After that the odd sctratch or ding is nothing.
