Bremont watches

Any Bremont owners here? Their MB II looks like a pretty tough watch, and apparently the only way to get an MB I is to blow yourself out of a plane!

Looks good, but at 42 mm, it might be a bit too big?

There's lots of information on Bremont over on tz-uk.com, loads of the Martin Baker's over there and some good reviews such as this http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic...bremont+review

For me though, the MBII looks fantastic, really has that look of a good watch and well built, just a tad expensive for my tastes, although they come up now and again secondhand and i do always twitch when they do.

I have keen interest in these, but I simply cannot justify the cost. In the US, Tourneau has exclusive sales/distribution which is helpful (they can generally get most anything) but the downside is that you're dealing with Tourneau.

The brand sealed their fate with me when they picked Tourneau as their only US AD
I won't deal with the T in any way shape or form so I will never own a Bremont.

Also I myself am just not overly impressed by the looks and mechanics for the price.

It's a brand that, for whatever reason, is getting alot of pub in the last couple years. I'm not sure if it's the story of the brothers who created the brand or the watches themselves.

I do like the two-eyed chrono but is the price justified based on the history?

If they hang around for ten more years they could be a good niche brand but right now and do see them as an option against like-priced brands.

The problem(s) is/are that they have no history, and use ETA ebauches. But they seem to have a USP with the ejector-seat nonsense. And the watches do look pretty good, IMO.

I have never heard of the brand. After a quick Google search I learned more. The most important thing I learned is that are too expensive, IMHO. Cheers, Bill P.

I also very much like their appearance, as well as their rugged construction.

But would prefer it to have it's own in-house movement.

I was walking by Tourneau and they had several Bremonts in the window, so I went in and tried one on. I really like the look of these watches. The one I tried one was a chronograph with an ivory colored dial and I think it was $5650.

Too expensive for what they are in my opinion.

I tried one on: nice, but too big for me, and I agree too expensive for a watch with no real pedigree.
