New submariner c accuracy

Probably just lucky but set my sub c to the us naval observatory clock 2 weeks ago and just checked it agin today - running 2 seconds fast over the entire period. My gmt c is within cosc standards but loses about 2 sec a day. The subc is new to me but was 2 months old on the warranty card when purchased from DavidSW.

There seem to be quite a few reports on the forum of sub c's with terrific accuracy(mine included). Very impressive fore something mechanical.

I purchased a Daytona on Dec 4, 2010. My AD set it to the atomic clock that day. I have yet to unscrew the crown. It amazes me that it is dead on to the second after almost two months.

I bought a SubC LV and 1.7M 5513 a couple of months apart, both from Tony "JustRolexes". Since the 5513 doesn't hack, I set my LV to the 5513 the day I picked it up. I've had it now for a little over a week and the second hands are still exactly in synch ... talk about accuracy over time ... 44 year old 1520 and nearly brand new 3135.

Try doing that with any other watch manufacturer ...

Now that's something!!

X2.No matter what the movement or type of hairspring etc accuraccy mainly come from how any watch is regulated.Plus down to the wearing habits of the watches owner. Even a Rolex movement 40 odd years old if regulated correctly it can match any movement made today.

Mine is by far the most accurate Rolex I have ever owned, darn near quartz accurate.

While perhaps true - I will say that all of the models I have owned with the new hairspring (several GMTIIc's and several SubC's) have been significantly more accurate and stable than older models I have owned and in my perusal of many watch boards, that seems to be the general trend (with some rare outliers). Whether this is due to the new hairspring or Rolex having put more effort into regulating the newer models, I could not say.
