Not quite sure about authenticity as the dial looks a little odd to me.

Paul

I wish I could go into details but I can't other than it involves a case at work. Trying to go through some databases and it would help to know model and possible year and value.

Let's just say the "owner" is more than likely not the owner.

I've seen photos of those here on TRF before. They are pretty collectable, I believe.

I think some of them come with French writing on the dial but I can't recall what it is and I can't read what yours says because Jocke didn't shoot the photo.

Try doing a search for that word on the dial; I'll bet you will get some results.

Pretty sure it's a fakeorino. Pushers dont look right.

I'm no expert so let's see what others say.

Pushers are pre 50s now that I look more but it still doesn't look right. Nothing I found has those markers on the hours.

It will be interesting to see what the guys in the know say.

I think the hands are wrong as well. Also did Rolex use red for date ring back then?

It might very well be but the pic you put up has no date so I am not sure if that is the correct watch or same watch as my original pic.

I want to thank everyone so far. I have gotten a few PM's that have been very helpful. Some think it's the real deal others think it's not. Either way at least it's given me some useful information on what direction I should be searching.

I am hoping it's the real deal as it might help a ton if it is.

Thanks everyone !!
