When did oysterlock clasp debut On zenith daytona

Newbee here! I hope to help with as Much info as I get from this forum...I just got my First daytona I know the oyster lock went with the movement in 2000 but my my father inn law has a similar watch (older model as he claimed he purchased it in 1993)and has a clasp that looks similar to a day just (not sure what it's called) any info is always appreciated!
