Is it true that the PO 45.5 really has a 45.5mm diameter? I heard that the PO 42mm is actually 40mm size. how true is this? just like the Rolex explorer II, they said it's 40mm but actually it's 39mm.

I know my 42mm sure feels like a 42mm if you ask me.

So if the 42mm is any indication I'd say you can expect the 45.5mm to be as large as Omega claims.

The 42 actually wears a little smaller than the 41mm Seamasters. If you don't mind the height it's a stunning looking watch and not too big. The 45 is considerable bigger. Try one on and see.

the 42MM PO seems to wear a little smaller. felt like a 40MM rolex actually. but i think it's a great and versatile size to dress up or down with! or maybe because i have 2 panerais and need a different watch to change it up!

The funny thing about this (with all watches) is it can be an illusion somewhat. Depending on the diameter of the bezel insert (if it goes right to the edge of the bezel ring), case shape etc can really make some watches with a larger diameter appear smaller. I am certain that if Omega puts the watch specs at those listed in the master catalog, customer catalog and their website there must be some truth to that and they would have used micrometers or what not to measure. Only solution is to go to the AD, try on both and see what suits your needs best

I put the caliper to my PO and here are the results:

bezel = 40mm

case = 42mm

I don't have a Sub photo but here is a side-by-side of my Liquidmetal and the GMTIIc I had:

I bought an orange bezel 42mm PO about 4 years ago. I sold it as it seemed too small for me. (7.5 wrist)

I now have the 45.5mm which is spot on for my wrist size.
