Orange wearability
Hi.
I hope that with all the knowledge on this forum somebody can help me with their experiences of owning and wearing an Orange leather strap on their Planet Ocean. At present mine, an Orange bezelled Chronogaph is on the Stainless steal bracelet. But I am getting very much into leather straps on my watches and wanted to buy the Orange leather on deployment as a change. My AD talked me out of it saying that he has had customers complaining that theirs are not wearing well, in fact the orange finish is coming off in places leaving white bleached leather beneath. I would like to find out if this is general fault with this colour strap before forking out £400 on one. Thanks Alan |

My previous pre owned Planet Ocean came with the Orange leather strap along with the Omega deployment buckle. To be honest did not install it on the watch (only owned it for a year) and straps normally do not appeal to me as much as the bracelet although they do make for a nice refreshing change. Have not heard many cases of this happening as there could be a number of variables here to deal with. Firstly it depends on how the strap is used / cared for. If an individual constantly has it rubbing against certain surfaces it will like anything else get worn in time. If anything wait for some more responses and see if you can find the same strap for a lot less from one of the many reputable TRF sellers or on eBay even (worth at least checking for a price comparison). It is ok once you buy the seller and know what your getting Hope this was of some help to you
