New TT GMT II questions?

For those who have one or have examined one up close:

Does the new GMT II have a flatter case back (Bubble back) than the original? Does it sit closer on your wrist? Are the lugs and the sides of the case polished and smoothed out, or still sharp like the old models?

On the TT model, is the background of the date Cream (Like the TT Subs) or is it white?

Do the new models have an anti-reflective coating on the Crystal?

Is the Bezel uni-directional?

Thanks.

wow....that's a load of questions.....

ok.....case back is flat.....similar to my explorer 2.....i dun see any difference....

lugs and case sides are polished......but not smoothed out.....they taper to a point but i think it's not as sharp as the 16710.....

date wheel is white....pure white.....

dun think there is any AR coating....

bezel turn both ways.......

The case is quite thick and the watch does sit up high on the wrist. Lugs are much thicker, but very smoothly finished.

Date background is white on all the new GMT-II models. Don't think the AR coating has been applied, but the bezel is definitely bi-directional.

Please also note that the satination of the lugs follows the form of the watch, i.e. the fine satination goes straight down in comparison to the - slightly heavier - satination of the previous Rolex lugs where the satination does not go straight down along the lugs but more inward towards the SEL.

The background to the date is white and the cyclops does not have that annoying reflection. I can read the date far easier than I can on my TT sub. How they have achieved this, I could only speculate.
