233 - change from dot dial to AM/PM indicator

Does any one know - or even rumours - as to why OP changed the 233 dial from dot dial to AM/PM indicator? Pure speculation on my part, but could it have to do with the power reserve issue on the earlier models impacting on the dot indicator.

I would tend to think the shift is to have uniformity to have similar dial with the 270
(and to create some interest with ristis)

maybe due to the previous problems in I and J series of 233.
So they changed the prettier dial to easier but practical AM/PM indicator after K series...
So almost no such problem as before by such indicator!

That's also what I was guessing. But maybe OCwatch has the best guess here - with the aligning with the 270. Possibly for manufacturing reasons.
