1680 Diagnosis Request

Hello all,

I have a 1680 that stops running about 45 minutes to an hour after I take it off my wrist. As soon as I pick it up, it starts up again without having to wave it around or wind it.

Aside from this, the watch seems to run great.

I have a call scheduled with Bob Ridley tomorrow but wanted to run this by the experts here first.

Do you have any thoughts?

Thank you for your input.

There is a multitude of things it might be..... If it's fully wound then it's likely something hanging up in the escapement...

It sounds like your watch is missing you when it's not on your wrist.

It is impossible to say! I know what Bob will say--send her in!! He will do a thorough exam and open her up and see what is wrong vs. guessing on a forum. Bob is the best!! Love talking to him--always a lesson!!

I bet it just needs about 40 winds and it's good to go.
