GMT 1675 vs. GMT 16710 ???
For those of you who own both a GMT 1675 and a GMT 16710 how would you compare the two?
- If you could keep only one which one would it be? - Function wise the two are different. Does the independent 24 hour hand on the 16710 make it easier to use compared to the 1675?

The 16710 because of the jump hour feature allows one to see local time via the 12 hour hand so in that sense I suppose you could say it might have an advantage.
For me though the matt dial sans WG surrounds wins. |

I have to say for me--being a gilt dial fan--The early PCG 1675 gilt dial. I can see why Mike would choose the 16710 though. I am a giltaholic!!! Love my gilt!!

I think that for daily wear, it doesn't make much difference except that you are wearing either a very dated plastic vs a somewhat new sapphire machine.. both with their own individual beauty...
However, if you travel a lot, the 16710 is a dream and gives you an inner feeling of satisfaction each time you jump the hour hand when you get to a new zone, and can still see what time it is back home without ever having to stop the watch........ It's not monumental, just a feeling.. It's the same when you dive into the ocean with a Sub on and know that there isn't going to be any water issues.......

If you're looking for a any day watch, to maybe even swim with, i'd go for the 16710. But the 1675 is a great daily beater too.

I would like a 1675 for daily wear. It would be in a rotation with my 1680 and my modern sapphire models. I would have it serviced to ensure it is still water tight for showers and a dip in a pool. To afford it I will need to flip one of my watches. I can’t decide what to sell 16610(Y serial), 16710(P serial), or white 1680 (2.9 mil). When I was traveling a lot for work the 16710 was invaluable. I’m hoping a 1675 will be a suitable replacement for the 16710.

I'd sell the 16610, keep the 16710.
