It is a ring or gang that sell these clocks , they only want to push up the "reference price /value " so some real buyer will go for it next time around .

I always figured as much, though people have constantly told me this doesn't happen because E-Bay still makes a charge along the way, regardless if a REAL buyer comes along or not.
