93150 Bracelet on Sub 1680

Does anyone know if a 93150 w/501B end links bracelet will fit on a 1680 Red Submariner (Mark V-2.6 serial number series)? It's my Dad's Sub, which I will be sending in for service in the near future. The original band is in really bad shape, and I'm thinking of getting a 93250 w/ SEL's for my Sub (I know, I know-they're around $1100!!!!) and putting the 93150 bracelet that came on my Sub on his 1680.

Thanks to all in advance.

Ed

93150 will fit fine on 1680.

93150 is the current service replacement on the 1680. Service endlinks are 580s. Not sure about the fit of 501s but it would probably work.

580's are standard but 501's do fit too. I have seen them on other Subs before.

Awesome.

Thanks very much for all the replies. I love this forum-I've learned so much since I discovered it!

I've attached two pics of the watch body and the paperwork.

Thanks again,

Ed

I tried putting a 93150 with 501B endlinks on my 1978 1680. Worked ok-ish but not perfect. The endlinks tended to leave little gaps and move a bit so I would have needed to sqeeze/bend them a bit to make them sit properly. Probably better to find 580 end links if you can.

Alex.
