GMTIIc Swap for Daytona TT and a bit of £££££

Hey everyone!

So my boss has got a 2004 TT Daytona 116523 up for sale in MINT condition as its just had a service and overhaul...

Would you consider my 2 month old GMT Master IIc and £2,500 cash for the daytona is a good deal?

Thanks guys

Dino

wow - what a change of plan you have, Dino.

TT Daytona is sexy - which dial combo?

as for the additional £££, i think that is quite attractive (i can be way off though..)

congrats in advance

thats one sexy looking TT Daytona mate. i would def. be up for that. my jeweller used to wear one of those with diamond dial. loved that

not too sure about the GMTIIC and additional trade value though (i'd be the worst person to ask imo )

im sure Chris will come on shortly to give an AD's point of view

Here I am Eric

Going price for an older TT Daytona seems to be £6500 at the moment, whilst the going price for a lightly used GMT IIc is £4500. With it having had a service though (the price for that from Rolex UK is around £400), I would take that into account. I think the deal is about right in terms of cash, I don't think you would feel hard done by. Bear in mind as well that the new price of a TT Daytona is now only a few pounds shy of £10k

I'm thinking that you want the watch. If the price is close to fare, pull the trigger. But I would ask myself is that the watch I really want. The GMT is no slouch afterall.

Enjoy which ever way you brain takes you.

Personally i think the TT Daytona is the most awesome watch in the world. Seems a fair deal for a 2004 model. You can get new ones discounted to around £7,500 from independent ADs just for your info.

TT Daytonas are plentiful, so if I were in your shoes, I'd counter with 2kQ

It seems like a fair deal to both parties but not a great deal for either.
The TT Daytonas don't seem to hold their resale value compared to the SS GMTc.
This deal gets down to who wants which watch the most.
Scottish logic?
