Can Someone Help Identify This Piece?

Can someone help identify this piece? (I'm referring to the watch, not the girl.)

Thanks.

Greg

What does OP mean in this context? I didn't realize that Explorers came with colored markers. Can someone tell me more about that? Doesn't it look like it might have PCLs in the picture?

I can't see her face.

Oh wait.

That's an OP.

Oyster Perpetual, besides being class of Rolex watches, is also a model in its own right.

You can tell because this model lacks the V shaped marker at 12 o'clock and instead has the coronet.

You may not know that the Explorer was issued to commemorate the climbing of Mt. Everest.

The expeditions were actually supplied with Oyster Perpetuals.

I really don't think there's much difference between the OP and the Explorer. That's what my AD's watchmaker says anyway.

Check out Jake's Blog. The whole story is there.
