Speedmaster manual wind

How many turns of the crown does it take to wind a manual wind Speedmaster? And how often do you have to wind - every day? every other day?

Thanks.

The new speedmasters have a 48 hour reserve; not sure about older ones. I know my father winds his daily. Can't help with the number of winds.

You wind them until they stop and yes, you should wind them until they stop every other day.

It's also hard to tell how many full winds on the Speedmaster because of the crown position....

When wearing mine I usually give it a wind each day...at some point.

It has a 48 hr reserve I believe.
