End link 455B.

Hello,

I'm looking at an Oyster Perpetual(no date) from the sixties.

It has this reference on the end link, 455B. The bracelet is an oyster, all SS, and the case has drilled lugs.

So far, on the internet, I've found that 455B is a reference for a TT jubile. Also, that the "B" is correct for a case without drilled lugs. Is this right?

I am grateful to those that take time to educate me on these matter, my knowledge about this big vintage world is limited.

the 455 B end links are for a vintage TT jubilee bracelet.

The numbers are used on replicas and knockoffs. I've seen them on SS jubilee and SS oyster replica and/or fake end links.

Thank you very much, Brian.

I like vintage watches, but I lack the knowledge one needs in this field.

This watch has an original 1570 inside, but with the bracelet being fake, I now wonder what else might be wrong.

I'm still curious if a B on the end link stands for non-drilled lugs.

And, if I may ask, from were do you take your information? I use some sites, like oysterworld.de, but I dont always find what I need.

Again, thank you. And if somebody else has an information on this subject, please share.

Brian is correct...

455 is an endlink for the TT Datejust Jubilee (or 36mm case). 555 would be correct for the SS version.. Any endlink that starts with a 4 is for a TT bracelet.

If you are looking for information, we have a respectable Reference Library here at TRF..
