I thinking of purchasing a Z series sea dweller and would like to know what I can expect to receive for my money (not including the watch of course).

Welcome to TRF normally you will get the box inner and outer, spare wet suite extension link, screw driver spring bar tool, small green wallet with diving tables, owners small booklet manual,COSC small tag. and your watch guarantee papers or in future the plastic all in one card.

Some SD's are not delivered with the tool set. Whether AD's are keeping / stealing them, or Rolex are phasing them out, I don't know.

But my AD assures me that the SD does not come with the tool set anymore.

Expect if thats the case Bo, Rolex is trying to keep costs down,first the anchor and now you say the screw-driver tool.You have to feel sorry for Rolex as I expect they must cost around 30p to make.

Of course, the cost matter plays absolutely no role for Rolex. But what I think is going on is that the SD is losing its "worth" or "role" as a tool watch. IMHO, Rolex knows very well that 99.9 % of those tool sets are / were never used, as 99.9 % of the SD are not used as they "ought" to be used (i.e. professional diving). NO, the SD is just another "office watch", just in a masculine design.

That is the reason it was purchased.
I wear something a little more subtle to the office,

So I gather there is no standard package?

Welcome to TRF, pal.

It will come with the same booklet marked SUBMARINER. This is a common booklet for all the Subs (date as well as no-date) and the SD.

The important thing to watch out for is the useful tool kit that comes with a fantastic screwdriver. Some guys have bought SDs with this bit missing!!
