Why no Love for the GMT Master?

So much love shown for the GMT Master II but no love for the original. Is it that we just lump them together or is the Master II simply preferred over the Master?

Break out your Master's.

I bought this one new in 1980 and still have it. About time I got rid of it and bought something newer.

I love the original GMT's, especially the 1675 and 16750's.

Keep the photos coming!

Great looking watches! I would take a GMT over a GMT2 all days of the week.

I'm glad there is no love for the GMT Master. I picked this U-serial 16700 up for a SONG, and it had been serviced less than 1 year before. I LOVE how the bezel insert is starting to fade

And there was me thinking I was going to get a thread dedicated to me!

Seriously, though, great watches - I would love to get my hands on a 1675 one day
