Is there an RSC in Chicago??

I was thinking that there were the two RSCs (Dallas and NYC) and then the independently owned RSC in San Francisco and that the Beverly hills RSC closed. Please update me on this RSC in Chicago. I don't have them in my Rolodex.

BTW, I would call Bob and discuss it with him first. I would make my decision based on what he says..........Not sure how much he can do with WG.

These centers could only work on Rolex, they have priority to source Rolex parts, give the corp. warranty service etc.
NYC Rolex was corp. The L.A. indie RSC back in the day was run by Walter Gooden, he
got tips from Walter Bernecker who started RSC San Francisco, which opened before L.A.
Chicago has one & isn't there one in Penn.?
The indie one in L.A. went away as the owner decided to service other high end brands & Rolex corp. opened Beverly Hills & Dallas......no more Bev Hills & Gooden's place in W.L.A. is now the Swatch/Omega service ctr.

None of the above. Find a local watchmaker check out his certifications and experience. Start to develop a relationship for future work.

You should have the watch back by the time it would be shipped to one of the other choices you listed (workload dependent). The cost will be approximately the same as the round trip shipping; so you half your cost and reduce downtime from a week or two from a month or two. Best of all, you have someone you can check out your watch and get expert advice face to face in the future if the need arises.

The Rolex USA Official Site lists 2 RSC's in the US---one is located in NY, and the other one is located in Dallas. I'd stick with either one of these.

I've had work done at Dallas RSC and Rik Dietal from Time Care, Inc in FL, and i'm pleased with both.
Who is the authorized person in Chicago? I wouldn't go to Razny, thats for sure.

What kind of certifications should one lookout for/ask for?i have an AD only about 10 minutes from my house(fey&co.),that has a rolex trained watchmaker.i've been thinking about having my sub serviced there.i also have the independent Chicago service center to choose from.

It is rather trivial stuff so you can go with anyone including http://www.illinoiswatchcompany.com locally, they'll all do a fine job.

Or just let it be until your next 5 years service. There will always be more dings and dents - they add character! :-)

I voted for Dallas RSC. I was on the phone with them a few days ago. The lady in their repair dept was sweetheart to deal with. We were on the phone for 20 mins talking about an inquiry I had with my SD.
When a problem arises (knock on wood), I'm going to Dallas!!

That would be the Lititz Watch Technicum located in Southeast PA's Amish countryside just North of Lancaster, PA. The school is unwritten by Rolex. The NYC RSC sends their overflow to Lititz and several local AD's have permission to send their service directly to Lititz. They do the same job as NY or Dallas and it's back in 2 - 3 weeks. Pricing and warranty is the same as any RSC. Retail service customer's cannot send watches to Lititz directly. I have sent service work to Lititz through a local Pennsylvania AD.
