Hello from the Pacific NW
Hello ALL you amazing educators and wearers of ROLEX!
I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading this forum for the last few days - determining if this is a legit forum or a big marketplace. The verdict is IN - your forum is so awesome, Educational, overall friendly, and interesting... SO... I joined AND pledged $ to support the cause! Now the confession: I have not worn a watch for 20 years! I know, I know. You all can't fathom that! But, here's the change, my husband went to China and brought back a beautiful (fake) Tag Heuer and for kicks I wore it. I was SUPER surprised to actually enjoy it as a "piece of art" (even though it was fake). After many months of wearing it, I started not feeling well. The end story, I got metal poisoning from it!!! So now 3 months later, almost metal free, I want a "Piece of Art" BUT the real thing. I investigated the Tags, and then came across the Ladies Rolex Yachtmaster and was shocked to 'really like it.' It was somewhat out of my "mental worthiness" price range, so for kicks I had the sales person tag (pun intended) it along in my showings. Needless to say, I finally realized I had a bit of a problem. I was willing to drop money on a Tag, but was super nervous about dropping 4x that for a Rolex... UNTIL, I did some research. ... AND, here we are today! I CAN afford a Rolex, if I find the right deal!!!! I am investigating the Yachtmaster SS/PL Ladies 29mm. I was looking at the two-toned version with the gray dial, but have decided from this forum, I KNOW I will really like the SS/PL instead. Most of my jewelry is SS or PL, except for a few pieces, ... but the two toned was so beautiful, I had to consider it. I have some detail questions to ask the forum from buying to understanding values and some of the history about Rolex. I'm excited to be apart of the forum and get educated AND eventually purchase my first Rolex! I truly did not realize how interesting Rolex was - It reminds me of my favorite transportation manufacturer - BMW & SMART! I love their cars & motorcycles! Their engineering is impeccable. I'm a huge fan. So - Now, I get to add another hobby/obsession to my list of "enthusiasms!" ROLEX! Again, thanks for a great forum. See you on the board. |

Welcome aboard, MCLady! The ladies YM is quite a looker and an awesome watch.
BTW I have kinfolk in the PNW - in Tacoma and north Seattle. I used to live in Tacoma, WA myself. Happy hunting! |

Welcome
I had only 1 BMW motorcycle (K100RS) and it was huge heavy awkward and not so enjoyable....It put me of BMW's.....until I saw the S1000R That is a beauty. Now before you get a YM make sure you try on the larger sizes. They may seem to large at first but you will realise how small and perhaps how it might be more difficult to read the time with the ladies small size. Just my worth making sure on the size before you buy and with the YM there are 3 sizes
