How much more would you pay for a BNIB 16610LV Y Series vs. the other later series? In other words, is the Y series (2002), the 1st year of 16610LV and the actual 50th anniversary of Submariner, that much more special?

To some Rolex collectors the first one complete with the press package would be good to have. Other than that they have made so many it probably wouldn't make much difference.

Yup... I believe the complete set for the first run of LV's is the one that is most interesting for collectors...

With a piece like the Y-series LV along with presskit its hard to put a price on since it is very rare. Not many made and is the true anniversary watch to the most iconic Rolex ever...the Sub!! Usually market dictates the price but for a Y-series LV, the collector would have to decide for themselves.

SO, are you guys saying other than Y series with the press kit, all other series from F to G are pretty much the same then? How much would you pay for a BNIB F to G series?

If you keep an eye on the FS section here, they are pricing from low mid 5's to low 6's...and increasing all the time.!

Yes.. they're pretty much the same except for the rehaut engraving .. Also, except for the green insert and larger dial plots, they are identical to the black one..

This watch has not yet caught on with the larger collector community so there really isn't the demand that would drive prices much higher than a similar LN Sub.. Condition is always the major driver.

You negotiate for your best price, but there should not be any premium on a BNIB F to G serial, and it should be less than MSRP at a non-AD for the F, D, Z, or M.

As said, those who really want a 50'th Kermit are looking for one from 2003 with the original Press Kit (not an amalgamation of e-bay purchases).. The rest are just production Subs..

What about a F series in 2033 with serial numbers f02xxx? While not a Y series, it's still a 2003 model and one of the first editions of the F series. Would that be worth more than a similar condition later series like D, Z or M?

does it has the flat 4 on the bezel,that seems to tweak the interest of many?

Yes, Flat 4, oval "O" in Rolex, 5 ticks under Swiss made, series y02xxx.
