Pam 0359 and 249
Happy friday everybody,
I'm still trying to see as many PAMs as I can to get a handle on all my options before I zero in on my first Pam purchase. So I went to the AD today and he lined up the 111, 312 and 183 and spent some time comparing and contrasting and me trying them on. Anyway, along the way he pointed out in his catalog the 359 and 249 but unfortunately had none in his store. Does anybody have any info on these pieces? Pics would be really appreciated. I feel I'm getting close. Thanks! |

359 is a current model and can be had easily and with a nice discount if you buy used.
249 is a stunner. It is a SE (made for one year only) and hard to get. You will not find one new at an AD, you pretty much have to go with a dealer or a private sale. Expect to pay a premium over MSRP on the 249. Enjoy the ride!

Great choices. 359 and 249 are some of my fact Panerai watches.
359 has a 44mm 1950 Luminor case while the 249 has a 47mm Radiomir case. 249 comes up for sale at some grey dealers from time to time and from what I can see, the prices has stabilised in the past few months (while I was looking anyway). |

359 is a nice piece, esp if you like the 1950 case with patina sandwich dial. I think its a stunning combination. There is a 359 for sale in our forum... go check it out. I know the seller, he is a nice guy.

The 359 is STUNNING in person. Pictures definitely do not do this one justice. It is a beautiful watch and looks fantastic on the wrist.
