There is no difference.. Rolex does not produce watches in a "series"
It is only a different serial number...

The scrambled serial numbers apply to more than just the Daytona. It represents the new scheme of representation of watches by Rolex. Or maybe I should say, lack thereof? With the old style, the first character in the serial number was a letter of the alphabet (i.e. 'Z', 'V', 'X', etc.) which implied the year or years of manufacture. With the random serial numbers, no one will be able to tell the year of manufacture (unless the "code" is broken by someone). Since this new scheme started this year, you will know for sure that any scrambled Rolex was released this year. However, this will not work for subsequent years. If Rolex continues their scrambled serial number scheme, in the future you may not be able to figure out if the watch you are looking to buy is 2 years old or 10 years old. With the Daytona, you also know that any scrambled example is "fully loaded" (i.e. wide comfort clasp, wide hands, engraved bezel). You cannot make that assumption with a 'V' series, for example.
