Time to buy?
Looking to get a sub or sub c, have been looking on the forum here for the right deal but haven't yet found it. AD near me would do 5% off on a GMTii, but nothing on the subc. They do offer 4 year warranty and watchwinder. Is the additional warranty and watchwinder worth anything? With the price increase coming maybe I am considering buying new since it may be my only nice watch I ever get...Thanks for your thoughts.

Watchwinders are over rated, especially if you only have the one automatic watch. Four year warranty is not so important since the majority of warranty issues likely crop up early (imperfections, etc). Although the gmt11c is very similar to subc only get it if you really think you will be happy with it. If you change your mind and want to get a sub you will lose money selling the first one. Rolex have good resale but they still depreciate no matter what others might say.Have you tried PMing one of the sellers on trf to see if they can get you what you want?

The watch winder isn't really necessary, and it is probably worth about $100. Normally you won't need to use the warranty and generally if you would it would be discovered pretty early on, so I wouldn't think the extended warranty would be worth much either. If you really want a deal determine if you can wait, I am sure something would pop up here soon.
Have you tried to PM one of the trusted sellers to let them know what you are looking for?

Good info. I have sent a couple of trusted sellers pm's, but nobody has one at the moment. I'll sleep on it for a couple of days.

Just look up a few ADs within driving distance, call to make sure they have one in stock and drive there with cash. You should be able to do 10%.

I agree with previous posts. The extended warrantee is nice, but essentially a no cost item for AD. If in the unlikely incident there is a problem it will manifest itself in the Rolex warrantee period. Therefore, an at no cost to the AD perk. As for the watch winder ask for $100.00 off.

Buy now don't wait, price increases occurs at least once / twice a year!
Buy 2nd hand, better value for your money.
