I am buying these to wear until I pass it down to my son.

I will buy a vintage one day so obviously not then.

now I see the same watch selling for $300-400 more. The new 42mm ExpII is currently priced @ $7750. Do you see

this watch selling for less than it's current price 3-4years from now? A lot of people are saying to buy pre-loved but

I believe BNIB is the way to go unless you are buying an old/beat up Rolex that is ridiculously under priced.

Let me hear your thoughts, gentlemen!
All depends on how much love and attention the watch has received. If the difference is 500 or less, I'd go for the newer ones, but only if you like it.

For example, I'd take the older SS SUB 16610 any day over the new Sub-C.

Depend on the model and deal... but if there is precious metal involved, the depreciation is huge. Also most ladies watch have really bad resell value as well.

I've recently been looking for a 16600 Sea Dweller, my nearest AD still has a new one but wanted AU$12,000 firm!!(around US$12,800). So made sense for me to get one lightly pre-loved for half the price.

Now that's a good deal.

I have no problem buying from our TRF friends.

Congrats on your Pepsi.
BTW, how much do you think that watch costs when it was still BNIB?

I've seen a mint SS SUB 16610 V serial now listed for $5.8k. I got a a random serial SS SUB 16610 for $5.5k a year ago. Sometimes BNIB is the way to go.
