Trust me,

Go in Cash, and you can do much better than that. You have to do your own research, though.

I will be willing to bet you can pick one up for around 7000-7400 US dollars from an Authorized Dealer, plus get a Free Gift

Just call around and research. However, if 1000 us dollars is not worth the haggle, then buy from a local AD or BETTER YET:

BUY FROM A TRUSTED SELLER HERE!!!!!!

Its been too long, Hi guys! Im sort of back

Since the recent increase, it is now $10650. I was able to get 15% from a local AD. Most in my area were giving either no discount or 5%. Your area may be different based on what is popular, etc...

Mine will be in sometime this week and since I haven't picked it up yet, I'm curious what the "free gift" could be?

Care to share?

Hopefully I'll be here along with the rest of you next week to finally wear the thing, because the world is going to end tomorrow, right? LOL!!!

Maybe the DSSD will survive it all along with the roaches.

Cheers, Ji

BTW: I was also told to offer cash for an additional few % off, since I would be saving them the CC fees, and he said they did so much business with the CC companies that they only charged him 1.1% for almost all the cards (even AMEX). With that said, he said 15% was the best he could do. They even had in-house CC offers for 6 months same as cash 0% financing, and when I asked about that, the owner told me I would not be eligible since his store is the one that pays the finance fees for those 6 months; and since I was getting 15% off, he couldn't/wouldn't do it. If I was paying MSRP, he'd be happy to give me 6 months/0% financing ;-)

I tried everything I could think of, and have even been doing some local AD shopping in the area just to make sure I'm getting the best deal. It seems in my area I am getting a pretty good deal. YMMV. Good luck.

I bought a DSSD late last year when MSRP was $9800. Paid $6800 cash OTD thruough a grey dealer. I purchased BNIB from a grey dealer who had sold the watch to a customer and the customer decided he did not want the watch after a month (never wore it). Grey dealer bought back, I am sure at less then what he sold to him a month earlier, then sold to me. I guess I was as the right place at the right time.
